Established in 1911 Hillside Golf Club has hosted many professional tournaments in its illustrious history. It was recently selected by the DP World Tour to stage the 2022 Cazoo Classic following the hugely successful 2019 British Masters. The R&A has been a regular visitor to the links with The Amateur and Ladies Amateur Championships being staged here as well as Final Qualifying for The Open on numerous occasions.
Hillside Golf Club will be played on the afternoon of September 15.
Established in 1886, Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club has had a storied past in the professional game, with multiple Opens and Ryder Cups held over this classic links. The course is a testing one with 174 strategically placed pot bunkers and some tight fairways. The opening par 3 is enough to test the nerve of even the most proficient golfer! The grounds, the clubhouse, and the storied Dormy house make for an amazing experience.
Play will begin in the late morning of September 16.
Established in 1884, Formby Golf Club is truly a championship links course unlike any other. Running through mature sand dunes and pinewoods, the combination of well-protected greens, undulating fairways, and challenging tee shots signifies a course of magnificent contrasts. It’s a good test of golf and would be at the top of the ‘non-Open’ courses to add to a trip to the area.
Tee times are scheduled mid-morning on September 17.
Established in 1869, and host to the 2023 Open Championship, Royal Liverpool (or Hoylake as it is known) burst back onto the scene when Tiger Woods won the Open while there in 2006. Rory McIlroy followed him to the Claret Jug here in 2014. The ground is relatively flat and it is a testament to the routing that this course is so well received by all. Recent changes ensure the course will continue to test the world’s very best. And you!
Golfing will start in the afternoon on September 18.
Established in 1889, Royal Birkdale Golf Club has prominent features such as towering dunes lining the fairways, the crosswinds which will wreak havoc on all but the most expertly struck tee shots, and the wonderfully beguiling greens with their subtle contours and gentle breaks. Birkdale is widely cited as one of the “fairer” courses on the Open Rota because, once your ball hits the fairway, it is rarely directed offline or into a hidden bunker by some hump or bump – a bonus for us amateurs as well.
Golf begins in the late morning on September 19.
Established in 1906, Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club has hosted two Ryder Cup matches and a number of other prestigious championships, including The British Ladies’ Open and The British Amateur. It remains a final qualifying course for The Open Championship, voted by one golf magazine as among the top 50 courses in Great Britain.
The final round will commence in the early afternoon on September 20.
The Vincent Hotel is a luxurious 4-star property conveniently located near the center of Southport in North West England. Centrally located among all the clubs and courses, the location is ideal for our golf tour.
This unique and stylish boutique hotel offers a relaxed atmosphere in chic, urban surroundings for our week-long stay.
When you are not playing golf, you can explore the surrounding area easily and visit the local restaurants, pubs, shopping, the Southport Pier, and the city center of Southport.
Your trip will officially start with checking in on September 15 and conclude with checking out on September 21, 2024.
Please plan your flights accordingly to arrive by September 15, 2024 to check into the hotel and play the first round of golf.
Check-out from the hotel will be on September 21, 2024.
